The hourly temporary Customized Training Facilitator reports to the Assistant Vice President for the Center for Innovative and Professional Learning (CIPL). The Customized Training Facilitator implements learning solutions typically using their own training materials, adding and subtracting topics as needed, and developing activities to help participants achieve identified learning outcomes. The Customized Training Facilitator also participates with the CIPL representative in finalizing training needs analyses with employers to identify 1) critical business goals, 2) skills employees need to achieve those business goals, 3) skill gaps or employee development opportunities, and 4) appropriate learning solutions to close those gaps. The training may be conducted at a local employer's work site or at Ramapo College of New Jersey and may be funded through an employer or a state or federal training grant. There may also be opportunities to conduct training on an "open enrollment" basis, allowing multiple employers to send individual employees to workshops offered at Ramapo College.
Minimum of 2 years experience:
Facilitating adult learning in an in-class environment
Conducting training needs analysis
Customizing training solutions to meet employer business goals
Knowledge, skill and abilities
Ability to facilitate training on topics in one or more of the following areas: Executive; First Line Supervisor/New Manager; Business; Productivity; Interpersonal Effectiveness & Communication; and/or Computer/Technical Skills
Ability to develop and/or facilitate training with real-world application
Consulting skills with questioning and feedback abilities
Keen interviewing skills to ask the right questions to ascertain correct business needs
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
Ability to work with confidential and sensitive matters in a professional manner
Possess an understanding of corporate etiquette
