What does your month look like? Woodbine Entertainment is looking for a Learning & Development professional who is passionate about creating highly engaging and interactive learning experiences, loves designing programs, and is excited to make an impact on the leadership and development of an evolving organization. The individual in this role will support the Manager of Learning and People Development, and will collaboratively work with other members of the People Experience team and Subject Matter Experts throughout the organization. What you'll do: • Support the activities of the learning function by developing high quality, engaging, and multi-faceted learning programs to meet current business demands and to enable us to respond effectively to organizational change • Design classroom-based training materials, including participant and instructor guides, job aids, and support tools • Manage content updates to current programs including new employee orientation, legal and compliance training, leadership and performance management training, and more • Provide writing support for materials such as how-to documents, internal policies, PowerPoint presentations, and the weekly internal newsletter • Co-facilitate classroom-based training sessions, where appropriate • Support the management and sustainment of the LMS system and the database of learners • Manage learning content for employee intranet, ensuring it is relevant and engaging • Collaborate effectively and enthusiastically with other members of the Learning and People Development team and our business clients
What we're looking for: • University or College Degree/Diploma in Human Resources Management, Training and Development, Adult Education and/or the equivalent in education and related experience • Minimum three (3) years of relevant work experience, specializing in learning design and development (setting objectives, developing course materials, preparation and evaluation procedures for leader-led content); experience in leadership/management content is an asset • Demonstrated knowledge of adult learning theory and training/learning methodologies • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with project teams comprised of internal and external learning colleagues and Subject Matter Experts • Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced, high energy organization • Ability to know where to look or research where to find the right answer • Strong communication, writing and editing skills • Strong knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word) • Experience leading classroom-based learning sessions
Additional Salary Information: This is a salary, full-time position based out of Woodbine Racetrack. Travel to other WEG properties within Ontario will be required.
