The Employee Experience Lead is accountable for the development and implementation of an Employee Experience program and framework that integrates the end-to-end employee experience throughout the employee life cycle (e.g. application to exit).
Lead the integration of efforts to increase employee engagement through co-ordination of existing programs, development of new initiatives, and the oversight and co-ordination of actionable plans resulting from board-wide engagement survey(s).
Collaborate with key internal HR partners and other business partners (e.g. Communications, Operations) to ensure alignment and development of consistent messaging pertaining to the employee experience which brings the WSIB’s Employee Value Proposition to life.
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
Lead the research, development, and implementation of WSIB’s Employee Experience program and framework.
Together with the Director, HR Strategy, Governance & Talent Programs, develop the Employee Experience program which takes a holistic approach in determining an employee’s experience during their tenure at the WSIB
Collaborate with HR partners to understand how each HR program, product(s) and services may impact the employee experience
Collaborate with business areas to understand how other WSIB programs, and unique cluster make-up may impact the employee experience
Utilize available analytics and data to support recommendations where applicable
Utilize research on industry best practices and trends on engaged workforces and employee experience
Make recommendations to WSIB senior leadership (e.g. HRSMC for business planning, HRCC including the President, etc.) for consideration and approval
Plan and execute the employee engagement survey process. Lead the analyses and integration of the survey results though clear and effective development, communication, and implementation of action plans. Create and own employee engagement message framework and aligned content.
Partner to integrate Recognition and Wellness Programs as essential components of the employee experience.
Ensure consistent messaging of programs to all staff; and consistent delivery across the organization
Monitor results on a regular basis to ensure effectiveness and usage
Establish, build and maintain strong relationships with key HR partners from all functional areas to ensure elements of HR are successfully coordinated to meet business needs; includes relationship management, leadership, HR roles/responsibilities, and service delivery commitments.
Establish, build and maintain strong relationship with leadership across WSIB to ensure buy-in, support, integration, and mutual understanding on the delivery of programs that affect the employee experience.
Promote and champion a performance-based and engaged workforce culture. Integrate gathered feedback via multi-channels /events that speaks to WSIB employee experiences. Identify opportunities for improvement in programs, processes, communication and/or training to yield greater effectiveness and results; and engage appropriate business areas.
Establish and foster a two-way communication for all WSIB employees from all levels and from all locations
Work towards being a “Top Employer”; research and recommend appropriate avenues for external validation of this status, represent WSIB in applications for appropriate designations/
Bachelor’s undergraduate degree (e.g. Human Resources, Communications, etc.)
6-8+ years of progressive HR experience in multiple disciplines/areas;
HR project management including communication plan development and roll-out;
Strategic thinking and organization skills
Strong communication and presentation skills
HR analytics; labour relations; program development, marketing and branding experiences
