The Manager of Talent Management will be responsible for the design, development, implementation and evaluation of DENSO’s talent management and organization effectiveness processes and programs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Works with the local affiliate and North American Learning and Development teams to leverage experts’ training design knowledge in order to shape and implement highly effective learning experiences.
Consults with regional affiliate functional leaders to assess and determine development needs of associates and create appropriate training solutions (i.e. experiential learning, social learning or formal learning including instructor led, synchronous and/or asynchronous web based, and blended learning approaches).
Plans and implements comprehensive annual training calendar based on regional affiliate functional training needs, using Oracle LEARN and assign appropriate learning resources as needed.
Manages multiple learning and development projects by researching best practices in the industry and by gaining input from internal and external subject matter experts.
Drives continuous improvement and evolution of talent review processes to align organizational actions with identified talent needs.
Develops and reports enterprise-wide talent review analytics to drive the right behaviors for developing talent.
Partners with HR peers and business units globally to identify and implement knowledge transfer/management mechanisms to ensure business-critical knowledge is retained.
Develops training-related goals and objectives for thermal business group.
Establishes and implementing mechanisms to evaluate effectiveness of talent programs and initiatives, as well as developing recommendations for future enhancements and adjustments.
Utilizes effective change management techniques to embed and sustain usage of newly created and modified talent management processes and programs into company culture.
Links existing career management tools to development paths for talent; ensuring clarity in messaging for managers and employees alike.
Remains current on industry best practices with respect to Talent Management and Organization Effectiveness, and leveraging this knowledge to develop innovative solutions for talent programs.
Manages and develops a competent and capable team accountable to meet and/or exceed defined business goals in support of HR and business strategies.
Manages department budget of $705K+.

Minimum Level of Education and Training Required
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration and 8 or more years of relevant experience supporting manufacturing, automotive, and/or engineering organizations, including proven experience in talent management activities.
Minimum Level of Knowledge and Skills Required
Manufacturing related and/or instructor led training experience
Proven experience to lead change management initiatives Instructional Design and/or Training Certifications
Experience facilitating face-to-face events
Advanced knowledge of adult learning principles
Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills
Understanding of and ability to measure the effectiveness of systems/technology/tools as a part of talent program
Oracle Learn and Articulate experience
E-learning design experience
Knowledge of Talent Management Strategies
Strong organizational and time management skills
Working knowledge of needs analysis and training evaluation methodologies
Experience developing and managing projects
Open mindset and willingness to learn and promote new philosophies to impact culture and organizational transformation initiatives

Typically, the position exerts up to 10 pounds of force and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to move an inanimate object. Visual requirements include color, depth perception and field of vision. Physical requirements include standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, talking, hearing and repetitive motions. Position work environment is typically indoors in pleasant, well-lighted area with comfortable temperatures and in a controlled environment where no significant amounts of dust, fumes or odors. Unavoidable accidents and health hazards are unlikely.
