The Condominium Authority of Ontario (CAO) is seeking a highly organized Education and Information Specialist to use their strong planning, prioritization and time management skills to lead the design and development of training materials and solutions for condominium directors and CAO staff. Your experience in all functional areas of Learning and Development will support you in your responsibility for overall design, development, testing, implementation and evaluation of training solutions, ensuring all CAO objectives are met. After conducting internal and external needs assessments, you will make recommendations on appropriate learning solutions and contribute to and participate in the creative design of training deliverables, including instructional frameworks, content creation and mapping, performance and learning objectives, prototypes and storyboards.
You will also have responsibility for tracking of resources and deliverables, providing regular updates to the Senior Manager and escalating issues where appropriate; you will identify, design and manage a tracking system for completion of training modules for all condo directors and develop the business requirements for the implementation of IT solutions to develop, deploy, track, and refine training deliverables.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in adult education
Post-secondary education in adult education, instructional design or a business-related discipline; a relevant Learning & Development designation or Certification/degree would be an asset
Knowledge of adult learning principles, L&D industry best practices and L&D technology; previous leadership experience in L&D projects and initiatives
Ability and interest to take on all functional areas of L&D: needs analysis, design, delivery and evaluation
Demonstrated knowledge, understanding and experience in performance consulting practices and instructional design using ADDIE model; experience with leading change management initiatives
Sound knowledge and ability in using LMS (SkillBuilder), training development software and social networking like Adobe Captivate, Articulate StoryLine, Skype, etc.
Demonstrated experience designing, producing, testing and launching digital (eLearning, video, virtual training) content that conforms to the Authority’s technology, learning management system and accessibility standards
Independent thinker with strong conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills; can see the "big picture" in a complex environment
Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to develop stakeholder relationships and communicate legislative topics in plain language
The Condominium Authority of Ontario (CAO) is a new not-for-profit corporation that will support the needs of current and future condominium owners. The CAO will be delegated as an administrative authority under the Condominium Act, 1998, and will provide services, support, and tools to ensure the consumer protection of condo owners. The CAO will oversee the establishment of the Condominium Authority Tribunal, which will resolve issues using alternative dispute resolution.
