Launched in 2015, the School of Business has emerged as a key support to building organizational capacity, strengthening corporate culture and advancing the Corporate Workforce Plan at the City. Working with multiple internal and external stakeholders and reporting to the Branch Manager, Human Resources, the Director of School of Business will build strategies and programs to “leverage learning as a competitive advantage to build a strong and sustainable workforce for today and the future”.
Not only has the School of Business been recognized internally for providing exceptional learning programming but externally as well. Municipalities across Canada look to the City of Edmonton’s School of Business as a benchmark and as such, the City of Edmonton has been called upon to deliver coursework outside of the metro Edmonton area. Recently, the City of Edmonton School of Business has been recognized by the Institute for Performance & Learning for exceeding excellence in training.
