As an Instructional Designer, you will be responsible for the overall design, development and delivery of training programs for a designated business portfolio or assigned projects. The focus of this position is to utilize e-learning concepts to enhance teaching and learning while delivering a comprehensive, well blended and cost effective training program targeting pre-determined learning outcomes.
Create comprehensive blended learning programs using established training methodologies. This includes conducting the analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation of programs.
Develop, deliver and maintain online courses offered through the Learning Management System (LMS).
Facilitate training programs for employees, brokers and other corporate partners.
Coordinate the involvement of other functional areas and subject matter experts to ensure project success.
Liaise with management and internal and external stakeholders to research operational/training needs and training effectiveness.
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree with courses in e-learning.
Five years of practical experience in the design, development and delivery of corporate training programs, including e-learning courses.
Certificate in Adult Education is an asset.
Demonstrated experience using e-learning training solutions in a web environment.
Detailed knowledge of adult learning styles and adult education concepts.
Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering classroom-based and online training programs.
Strong planning and organizational skills.
Superior public speaking, oral and written communication skills.
Project management experience.
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple priorities.
