A search is in process to secure a qualified faculty candidate for a vacant position for the Summer or Fall of 2018. The appointment is for a full-time, tenure track position.
Candidate will teach in a thriving School of Communication Arts program that has over 400 student majors. We are looking for a faculty member who has experience in Instructional Design and can serve as the coordinator of our ID program. Online and on-campus instructional design classes may be taught in theory, messaging, technology issues & trends, multimedia, assessment/evaluation, and project management. Priority will be given to a candidate who can also teach basic animation and/or multimedia development. Teaching load is 12 hours each semester, with optional summer teaching available.
The School of Communication Arts has over 400 undergraduate and graduate students. The department houses the Communication, Journalism, Media Communication, Worship Arts, Instruction Design and Theatre programs with 14 full-time faculty. Academic rank will be dependent on qualifications.
A Ph.D., Ed.D., Ed.S. or M.A./M.S. in the area of Instructional Design or Educational Technology.
