Learning & Development Business Partner Human Resources - Toronto
This is a full time permanent position available in our Toronto Head Office.

Purpose of the role To establish and implement scalable and sustainable learning and talent development approach across the enterprise that will build personal leadership capability to enable the achievement of the organizational strategy. To design and facilitate the learning agenda, acting as a learning partner to assigned client groups within the business, evaluate and analyse business needs, develop appropriate learning solutions and share best practice.
For optimum success in this role, understanding the business, focusing on performance and influencing people will be essential.
You will be accountable for
Establishing a scalable and sustainable approach to talent development that incorporates innovative techniques and best practices.
Designing, developing and/or program managing learning and talent development programs, processes and tools.
Building highly impactful initiatives to accelerate the growth of employees.
Acting as a learning and development partner to evaluate and analyse the business needs, and appropriate learning solutions, across various business units.
Designing and delivering a creative blended learning portfolio which aligns with the organization’s leadership capabilities and will enable the business to achieve its strategic goals.
Coaching and advising the leadership teams to optimize the effectiveness of L&D activity within client groups.
Evaluating learning solutions and demonstrating ROI back to the business, where appropriate.
Managing development, production of all train the trainer, learner & facilitator materials (including but not limited to guides, visual aids, video, audio, e-learning, online portal interface), evaluation & measurement tools, communication materials and transfer of learning solutions.
Ongoing consultation with assigned client groups, HR business partners, stakeholders, program sponsor/champion & target audience to determine ongoing needs.
Ongoing consultation with OD to ensure alignment and integration with OD initiatives.
Program marketing and communications with participants.
Facilitation of key programs including Orientation and other strategic programs.
Creating new or innovative tools and resources to support development.
Integrating informal and social learning approaches for sustainability and reinforcement.
Analyzing evaluation results and feedback to develop future-looking recommendations that proactively meet development needs at the organizational level.
Identifying issues and/or recommending process improvements to ensure programs are delivered efficiently and participants experience a high quality learning program that delivers business outcomes.
Creating and promoting win/win situations that foster long-term collaborative relationships.
Your experience includes
Post-secondary education with a focus on Adult Education/ Human Resources or a related field.
Post-graduate certification in Adult Education / Training & Development/ Organizational Development/ Leadership Development considered an asset.
CTDP Designation an asset.
Equivalent work experience may be considered a substitution.
5+ years of experience in Learning/ Leadership development function.
Previous experience in the financial services or technology industry considered an asset.
Proficient with Microsoft Windows/ MS Office Applications.
Subject Matter Expertise in Learning & Development practices, models and concepts.
Extensive experience working in employee/leadership development and familiarity with all phases (needs assessment, architecture development, instructional design, facilitation).
Experience with cross-enterprise, national training implementations.
Bilingual in French (reading, writing, and verbal) is considered an asset.
Exceptional program/ project management skills.
Demonstrated business acumen with the ability to build strong partnerships.

Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills including ability to engage and persuade different audiences.
