This position reports to the Manager Content Design & Development.
As an Instructional Designer you will be accountable for:
•Design, development and storyboard integration as per the needs of business, consult with HR Business Partner and Subject matter experts at various levels across the organization to provide:
•Learning needs Analysis
•Design (as standalone or part of blended learning program)
•Coordination of French Translation and Development
•Work independently and collaboratively on eLearning projects with business partners throughout Allstate Canada Group.
•Keep track of project plan and ensure all expectations are being met from all parties involved.
•Autonomously handle challenges that arise during projects, devising solutions and communicating with project team members.
•Keep team updated on status of projects to facilitate coordination of department resources, capacity, lessons learned and best practices.
•Escalate issues to Manager if necessary and inform of project risk to scope, quality, and timeline.
•Discuss distribution methods for learning and how to leverage VIP/HRIS My Learning platform effectively deploy and manage content.
Qualifications & Experience:
•Proven knowledge and application of Adult Learning Principles, ADDIE and other instructional principles and methodologies.
•Education in adult learning & instructional design methodology preferred
•Effective consultation skills
•2-5 years applied knowledge of Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate and/or other authoring tools.
•Experience with design of blended learning programs leveraging various methods including eLearning.
•Applied knowledge and experience working with a Learning Management system
•Proven ability to manage projects from creation through deployment.
•Expert knowledge of MS Office applications, including PowerPoint.
•Experience with Human Resources soft skill content design an asset.
•French would be an asset.
