The Director of Talent and Organizational Development is currently seeking an Organizational Development Consultant. The purpose of the position is to support achievement of Waypoint’s strategic and corporate goals through the provision of customised, evidence-based Organizational Development consultation.
Consults with managers/directors and implements senior level organizational development interventions to support achievement of corporate goals and strategies
As a subject matter expert, supports the implementation of Waypoint’s leadership capabilities framework (LEADS)
Supports corporate transition through application of established change theories and practices including the Pro Sci ADKAR change model
Apply advanced facilitation skills to support managers in the areas of: resolving conflict, effective communication, managing change, team building, respectful workplace, priority setting, consensus building
Partner with Divisional HR/Talent Consultants to analyze corporate HR data, identify performance gaps and make recommendations for remedial action related to learning and development
Apply established learning theory to develop and deliver a diverse range of learning initiatives, (electronic and classroom)
In response to identified needs, research external consultation services and make recommendations for service delivery
Provide input into applicable policy review and development processes
Participate in hospital-wide projects, teams and committees, as assigned
Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as human resources, business, healthcare/public administration, communication, social sciences, arts
Additional recognized, professional education in a related field such as: adult learning, advanced facilitation, change management (Proc Sci certification), organizational effectiveness, project management
5 years of experience in human resources, talent management and/or organizational development setting
Demonstrated experience with change management theories and practices to develop customized interventions to support staff through organizational change
Demonstrated experience with leadership models and competency frameworks
Experience with adult learning theories and techniques as well as facilitation and presentation skills
Experience with project management supporting a range of organizational development initiatives
Results oriented work ethic to work independently and undertake tasks needed to accomplish work objectives and deliver quality, consistent and timely results
Demonstrated interpersonal and organizational skills
Proven written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to adapt readily to change
Models and promotes core ethical practice, Waypoint Values, and reflects an optimistic and positive attitude
Preference for proficiency in French/English language skills
