The Group Facilitator has the following responsibilities:
Provides professional services through adult and/or children's group support meetings under the direction and supervision of the Bereavement Coordinator
Assists in meeting the bereavement needs of the patients/families/signification others and interdisciplinary team under supervision of the Bereavement Coordinator to include attendance at IDT meetings and making bereavement phone calls.
Provides support to associates as appropriate in relation to personal and professional loss
Is a reference/resource for associates.
Performs grief education to professional and lay community with scope of knowledge and skills
This is a PRN position offering on average about 20 hours/week. There are some day and evening hours for support groups.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in related field (ie Social Work, Psychology)
Advanced skills in group facilitation
Knowledge of bereavement issues and processes of adults and children
Good working knowledge of principles/practice of clinical work within a medical or mental health setting
Internship/field placement within a mental helath and/or medical setting
One year experience in health care field
One year experience in behavioral health care setting
